We had staff and friends form a small choir. Though they only had a few short weeks to rehearse, they really poured their hearts into it.

The atmosphere was charged as staff and friends gathered in the hall and found their seats. They were about to watch not just any musical, but one about the gospel. And it wasn’t just any musical about the gospel, it was one produced by GoodSeed.

“I had no idea how it would be like before the performance,” quipped one staff member. “We knew the project had been going on for years, but we just didn’t know how it would turn out.”

All that the Prophets have Spoken video websiteWhen GoodSeed published its first audiobook, it came on cassettes (remember those?). Now, the soon-to-be-released interactive edition of All that the Prophets have Spoken will come with 98 video clips that can be accessed via QR codes.

While the book is packaged with an accompanying DVD, we recognize that many people have smartphones and tablets. We wanted to marry the effectiveness of video with the convenience of watching on a mobile device. So now, readers will have a choice of watching the video clips on DVD or on their smart devices.

First-ever performance of the GoodSeed musical at our Bible Camp

Once every two years, our global staff, families and friends gather for our International Bible Camp. This year’s was a great time of prayer, worship and fellowship. We gave updates to all the staff on the plans for the coming months and our invited speaker taught us through the book of James. It was not all serious business though. There was lots of catching up, games and sharing testimonies of what God has been doing in each of our lives and in our areas of work.

While the adults had meetings and training sessions, our children had their own camp. There were devotions and a whole lot of outdoor fun. The weather started off cool but as it warmed up, the kids were out there in the sand, in the water and flying through the air! We knew they had a good camp because we only saw them at mealtimes.

We are so thankful to God for getting us halfway there in such a short span of time. Currently, we have $572,000 left to raise.

A few months ago, we began the process of updating our eBooks. We wanted to ensure that each version worked well across a range of ebook readers and reading apps.

We are making progress on this project. We now have nine ten fifteen eBooks on our stores (Australia, Canada, UK and USA), with more on the way.

With each purchase of an eBook, you will be able to download three different file types: Mobi, ePub and PDF.

Around the world, we see a growing number of people who are reading books on iPads, Kindles, Kobos, smart phones, tablets and other eReaders. Over the last few years, we’ve been converting our range of books and testing them on a variety of devices. Now, we’re about to release the eBook versions of our tools so that more people across the globe can have access to them. The first versions to be released on our website are in English with translations into other languages to follow.

Bringing the gospel to restricted access countries

In many places around the world, people do not have the freedom to investigate the Bible, nor do they have the liberty to decide for themselves whether to believe or reject its message.

Sixty percent of the tools that GoodSeed is developing are meant for people living in such countries where they are not allowed freedom of thought or religion.

On a recent trip to Israel, John Cross stood at the border overlooking the Valley of Tears and reflected on this challenge. See John’s video below:
