My Favourite Lamb

On this Good Friday, we want to share with you a special song. It’s taken from the musical that we’re developing entitled, No Ordinary Story. The musical centers on three strangers who meet on a train. They begin to have a conversation about the meaning of life, death and life after death. Along the way, one of the three shares the biblical worldview, explaining what the Bible is all about. Performed with a blend of drama and song, No Ordinary Story takes a journey through the gospel story using a historical narrative.

Ambassadors, ready to share

The Alberta TERM Seminar concluded on Saturday with many of the participants ready and eager to seek opportunities to share the gospel with the people in their lives. After seeing how easy it is to give away a book or video that explains the gospel, and after experiencing how to lead a course with the Worldview Rethink curriculum, the seminar participants left equipped with tools and training. Most of all, they were filled with new excitement about the power of the gospel to change lives. We pray the Lord will let them cross paths with others who want to learn about the core message of the Bible.

The TERM Seminar in Olds, Alberta, Canada is on. We had participants from near and far coming for a concentrated time of learning about evangelism and discipleship in the context of today’s world of shifting culture and increasing biblical illiteracy. GoodSeed staff weren’t the only ways sharing their experiences in explaining the gospel; the participants were also encouraged to share how they’ve been sharing the good news as well. There is a spectrum of people at this seminar: from ordinary believers, pastors, missionaries and other ministry workers. All are gathered to refresh their hearts on the gospel and to learn how GoodSeed tools can help them be more effective in sharing the good news.

Prepare for Easter

Easter is fast approaching! Once again, believers are taking this natural opportunity to share the true meaning of Easter with family, friends, co-workers and neighbours. Churches too are planning Easter events for the community.

What are Christmas and Easter All About? and The Lamb are two GoodSeed resources that work well during Easter. Believers and churches give away copies or put up readings or dramas based on these two books.

Here is a 16-minute preview of the TERM Seminar.

Registration is open for the TERM Seminars in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Cardiff. There are a total of six seminars in May 2015. The seminars are either one day in length or spread over two evenings.

TERM is helpful for:

  • the individual who knows he or she should be sharing the gospel but doesn’t know how.
  • the church seeking a way to train its congregation so that all its members can be ready to share the gospel at all times.

2015 TERM Seminar in Alberta, Canada

TERM Seminar: Visual AIds

In an ever-changing world filled with different worldviews and competing ideologies, how can we share the good news of Jesus Christ in a way that doesn’t confuse the message or make assumptions of our audience? Does the Bible have anything to say to address a world of people who are indifferent or worse–cold–towards its message of hope?

The GoodSeed TERM™ Seminar is a time to stop and rethink evangelism in the context of our diverse world. This seminar takes participants into Scripture to see what it has to say about evangelism methodology. In the process, there springs to light an approach that Jesus used on the road to Emmaus. The architecture of “The Emmaus Road Message” (TERM) has proven effective–whether we are engaging the confused, the seeker or the hardened.

Connecting the dots

What does it take to make a GoodSeed translation available?

By This Name in Thai.

Rusty’s* desk is crowded. Stacks of paper, books, a MacBook with a blue sticker supporting local businesses and a coil of cables are being arranged to go into a sturdy backpack in preparation for a work trip. This upcoming trip will see Rusty pass through the UK, Germany, Italy and a few other places too risky to mention. Behind him, a map of the world is tacked to the wall not simply as office decoration, but as a way to visualize the remote locations where his contacts are located. Another wall bears a whiteboard covered in a long list of languages. Written neatly in a sloping hand, the list reflects the current translation projects GoodSeed has in progress. Many of the languages come from areas on the globe where the good news of the Bible is not readily available.

Christmas illustration from The Story that MattersWarmest Christmas greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

As we reflect on all that has happened in 2014, we are very thankful for the way that the Lord has led and worked in our ministry, enabling us to reach more people with the gospel and to provide tools and training for ordinary believers, missionaries and pastors to share the good news of Christ.

We are very mindful of supporters like you who have prayed for us, given financially and even worked on projects with us. Thank you so much for being our partners. The work that we do is not possible without your unfailing support.

As we look forward to the new year with expectant hearts, may we as the body of Christ, continue to embrace the privilege of sharing the gospel with friends, family and loved ones.

From all of us at GoodSeed, we wish you a very blessed Christmas season!

By This Name audiobook recording
This is our audio studio. We have the director and our audio engineer in the main area. In the recording booth are our two voice talents.

We have had many requests for a new English audiobook and so we thank God for helping us start production on an audiobook version of By This Name. This is an important project as we recognize that in today’s world of growing biblical illiteracy, By This Name is well designed to answer the questions of those who have an Eastern, postmodern, or atheistic worldview.

We had several parameters for the project:
