\n\u201cOur days are full from morning till night\u2026 our weeks pretty much revolve around spending time with friends and doing\u00a0By This Name<\/em><\/a>\u00a0studies.\u201d<\/p>\n

It all started when Josh* attended a TERM Seminar in Coeur d\u2019Alene, Idaho in 2010. He learned\u00a0how to use GoodSeed tools to guide a course about the Bible in a way that makes sense. When he\u00a0returned home he\u00a0immediately shared what he had learned with his wife Steph*. As a couple they began praying that God would bring opportunities. Since then, their life has become quite busy\u2013in a good way! God has allowed them to guide many of their friends and acquaintances in their small rural town to a clear understanding of the Bible\u2019s main message\u2013the gospel of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

Yesterday morning they stopped by the GoodSeed USA office to stock up on\u00a0By This Name<\/em>\u00a0books and workbooks\u2013it was their third case in the last six months!<\/p>\n

We asked, \u201cHow do you get so many opportunities to teach courses?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s easy, really,\u201d they said. \u201cWe spend time with people and look for ways to show them that we truly care. We listen closely for openings in the conversation to invite them to a course.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat kind of openings do you listen for and how do you invite people?\u201d<\/p>\n

Josh replied, \u201cWell, for example, someone might comment, \u2018I didn\u2019t grow up in church.\u2019 Or, \u2018I don\u2019t really know much about the Bible.\u2019 Or, \u2018I need direction in this difficult situation I\u2019m facing.\u2019 Any one of these kinds of statements is an opening to respond, \u2018The Bible offers many meaningful answers to life\u2019s big questions. I regularly guide courses with friends to help them discover what the Bible actually says and I was wondering if that was something that you’d be interested in doing with me?\u2019 If they answer with a \u2018Yes,\u2019 then immediately we offer, \u2018How about we start next week? I have Monday evening free\u2014do you?\u2019\u201d In no time Josh and Steph are well on their way, guiding another course, one-on-one or a small group, with someone who is sincerely interested in learning what the Bible has to say.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore often than not,\u201d Steph continued, \u201cas soon as we\u2019re done, they ask if we could do it again with someone they know. They\u2019re eager to share the good news with others.\u201d<\/p>\n

Praise God with us for the power of the gospel and how he uses regular believers like Josh and Steph to bring people to a point of trusting in the person and work of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n
