(Editor’s note: We never know what God can do when we are faithfully looking for opportunities to give away the good news.)<\/em><\/p>\n After church service one Sunday morning, Kevin* met a young Chinese lady who had just arrived in the U.S. to attend university. They chatted for a few minutes and Kevin found out she was taking a course on environmental issues.<\/p>\n “I just happen to have a book on environmental issues that I think you’ll enjoy,” he said. “I’ll pass it to you next week.”<\/p>\n When they met again the following Sunday, he gave her a thick book that discussed water issues. “This is for your education,” he said. “And this is for your life,” he added, handing her a Chinese edition of The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus<\/a><\/em>. The young lady looked stunned. She sat down on the pew and started crying.<\/p>\n “No one has ever given me a gift before,” she said. She went on to say that even on her birthdays, her parents hadn’t given her any presents. She was very touched by Kevin’s kindness.<\/p>\n Fifteen days later, a church friend informed Kevin that the young lady had read through The Stranger<\/em> and had put her trust in Jesus for her salvation.
