Wishing there was a stress-free approach to share the Gospel message?
You want to do a study to introduce your friends to the Bible, but you don’t think you’re that great of a teacher. You may feel intimidated by the thought of having to lead a study. Or as a gifted teacher, you may be looking for a way to enhance your lessons. How can you present the message of the Bible in an interesting way that will hold people’s attention?
There are books available you can work through with people and because the material’s already laid out it makes it feel a little more doable, but it’s still up to you to present it. And sometimes it can be difficult to come up with new ways to help your students connect with the teaching. Unfortunately most study books don’t come with visual aids or a built-in teacher!
Think what pressure it would take off you if a study did come with a teacher! If you could be part of the study but not have the sole responsibility of clearly presenting the gospel. Or if someone had already found some creative ways to help your students visualize the material.
What if there was a tool that could not only make sharing your faith less intimidating, but also help give you a better grasp of what you believe? A way to communicate the gospel in such a way that as you shared it, people's eyes would light up with an understanding of what Jesus Christ did for them? Something that you could walk through with them as a Bible study or simply give to a friend to read? A way to make what many see as a dusty old book come alive with meaning in their lives?
In this 11-hour video series, a teacher takes you on an unforgettable journey, bringing to life the greatest stories of the Bible. This DVD set is good for someone that cannot read the bookk on its own. However, if you can read you will find it boring, slow and not very professionally done. I bought this item to complement or supplement the book reading, which it does not. Although I have not seen the new interactive DVD, this product is probably what I expected this DVD set to be. I was very disapointed with this DVD, but the Stranger on the Road material in general is outstanding.
I have been a chaplain in a high security prison here in the UK for 12 years. I have tried in vain to find a course which will adequately and clearly teach the real biblical truths necessary for a proper understanding of the gospel. I have been using “The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus Course” now for 2 years and praise the Lord for the work he has done through these studies. Men who have no knowledge of the bible come to a clear understanding of the true gospel and others who already have a knowledge of the bible come to see truth much more clearly. Many men have come to genuine saving faith in Christ through the teaching of the course here in the prison. I will never forget the day when the Lord moved in an unusual way. John was teaching the transfer of righteousness through the death of Christ and illustrating it with the use of different coloured cloaks. As the truth was explained, one by one each of the 12 men in the room began to weep as the deep personal significance of the death of Christ sunk in. Several of those men have made clear professions of faith in the Lord Jesus and they continue until this day. I can highly recommend the course and pray many more will see the Lord’s hand at work the way I have here.
