Wishing there was a stress-free approach to share the Gospel message?
You want to do a study to introduce your friends to the Bible, but you don’t think you’re that great of a teacher. You may feel intimidated by the thought of having to lead a study. Or as a gifted teacher, you may be looking for a way to enhance your lessons. How can you present the message of the Bible in an interesting way that will hold people’s attention?
There are books available you can work through with people and because the material’s already laid out it makes it feel a little more doable, but it’s still up to you to present it. And sometimes it can be difficult to come up with new ways to help your students connect with the teaching. Unfortunately most study books don’t come with visual aids or a built-in teacher!
Think what pressure it would take off you if a study did come with a teacher! If you could be part of the study but not have the sole responsibility of clearly presenting the gospel. Or if someone had already found some creative ways to help your students visualize the material.

In an era of media sound bites, fast food meals, and microwave popcorn, this Bible study is refreshing in its depth. I was first given the Stranger book about 5 years ago after being a Christian for 10 years--I loved it so much that I read it twice in a month (the material can’t be over-studied). The book was an amazing panoramic view of the gospel message weaved into each story of the Bible and clearly explained by John Cross in simple non-theological terms using many graphic illustrations familiar to most audiences. The book changed how I share the gospel with the lost and really helped me to better express the gospel using Biblical stories and terms in my personal witnessing. I bought the audio book for my wife and she lent it to her father who claimed to be a Christian for years (he honestly thought he was “born again"). After listening to the Stranger audio book he understood the FINISHED work of Christ for the first time and trusted Christ as his personal savior apart from religious ritual or an external response (i.e., saying a prayer, joining a church, being water baptized). My review seems weak for the DVD study, but the DVD study is my favorite because the story is brought alive with physical representations (i.e., the tabernacle, branches, coin, visit to the Dead Sea, etc.). I have 3 copies in order to do the study in my home and with people at work during lunch (my father-in-law also has a copy). The Stranger is NOT new truth, but it is a revolutionary way to bring out those old truths so clearly seen in the scriptures. Purchasing the Stranger DVD is one of my best investments next to my own personal Bible. I have shared it with Bible study teachers and pastors that were blessed by the clarity of the teaching which always glorifies God.
