What effect does chronological teaching actually have on a person's understanding of the gospel?
You're interested in using the chronological approach to teaching the gospel, but you've never actually seen it in action. You've heard about how much more effective it is than teaching beginning in the New Testament, but does it really give people a better grasp of the gospel?
Teaching the gospel from creation to the cross is an approach that few people use in sharing the story of salvation. Although it's beginning to be talked about and used more frequently, especially on the mission field, it's still hard to know the difference such teaching can make unless you've experienced it.
"I still remember sitting in my missions class at seminary and watching the story of EE-taow. It was gripping and jolted my heart to the need for every people group to have a chance to hear the good news of Jesus Christ." ~ from a student blog
What if there was a way for you to see the impact this approach had on a group of people? If you could get an inside peek into the way it was taught and could watch how people responded? To see for yourself how it affected their understanding of the gospel message?
Filmed on location, this two-part docudrama tells the story of the Mouk people from the remotest jungles of Papua New Guinea. Part one, "The Mouk Story", gives a picture of the dark and hard way of life in which these people had lived for centuries. It was unknown how they would respond to the gospel. This film shows the effect of three months of teaching through the Bible chronologically and vividly portrays the people's response to the final explanation of the gospel. Part two, "The Next Chapter", continues their story as they move from a history of murderous sorcery and deceit to a discovery of God's love and became a people who took their new faith seriously. Total running time is approximately 67 minutes.
Be challenged and encouraged as you watch this true story of how a chronological teaching of the gospel transformed an entire tribe!

EE-TAOW is an AWESOME video story that will encourage and excite all believers with our great honor and privilege to carry the gospel to a lost and dying world even if that happens to be your neighbor or co-worker. The power of the gospel is visually captured when the Mouk tribal people finally understand the good news of Christ’s work on Calvary so that they might have the FREE GIFT of Eternal Life be expressed in hours of celebration on their part to God’s glory. The relief and joy expressed in that celebration reminded me of a very important sporting event victory celebration in the United States (e.g., the Super Bowl); however, this change was ETERNAL rather than simply for a trophy that will perish. The story also demonstrates the powerful and effective use of teaching the Bible chronologically rather than systematically. I have watched it many times, but each time still thrills my soul and excites me to get out and share my precious faith!
