Candice* would be the first one to admit that she is not a naturally gifted teacher. But she really wanted to help her good friend, Maria*, have a better understanding of God’s love for her. The thought of teaching a Bible study was intimidating to say the least. Besides that, Candice was a busy mom with young children, and she had very little time to prepare lessons.
However, she also knew how helpful a chronological overview of the Bible would be for Maria’s walk with the Lord, so she took a step of faith and ordered The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus Interactive Edition. On Friday mornings, Candice and Maria would meet in Candice’s living room for coffee and Bible study. They would insert the DVD into the player and follow along in their books together. The easy-to-follow prompts made it so simple.
Later, Maria shared with Candice how the study had impacted her. Here’s what she shared:
Since I became a Christian, I have struggled with feeling not-good-enough to have a close relationship with God. But now, having gone through this study, I realize that Jesus was good-enough for me and has made it so that I am totally right with God. His grace really is amazing!
Candice was deeply grateful that she did the study with Maria. And she was also thankful for The Stranger Interactive Edition and how it helped her teach these powerful truths from God’s Word.
What a difference it has made for Maria—even if Candice isn’t a gifted teacher!
