International Office Building Construction - "Two Square Feet"

Our present situation

---

Our International office (in Canada) is currently in a private building—a temporary arrangement to buy time to get our ministry on its feet. It has been a wonderful provision, but with our staff growing, we have literally run out of room. And yet, we need more staff!

What we need

---

We need an office structure that:

1. will accommodate staff growth
2. is accessible to the public
3. is built with media production in mind
4. can be used for training purposes
5. has adequate warehouse storage

We are feeling the crunch in all five of these areas. Since this office functions as both the International and Canadian domestic office, it is critical to our existence.

Special needs

---

As we reach out around the globe, we plan to do online, live video training. The demand and opportunity is there; we just need the right facility. Our new office must have reliable high-speed Internet. This is critical in many areas of media production.

Land Options

---

We have two options on the table:

1. Though no commitment has been made, a local couple have been in contact with us on the possible donation of land. Together we are seeking the Lord’s guidance.
2. We have discussed a parcel of land with the county government, and they have told us that they would “look with favour” upon us acquiring this land.

Each property is in a prime location and includes fibre-optic Internet connection.

In the last 12 months we have had a number of volunteers step forward to let us know they are willing to help when the time comes. Here is a list:

• Commercial Gas Fitter
• Commercial HVAC Contractor

All are licensed in Alberta, Canada. I am sure you would agree that this is a dream team start. You can help! If you have a trade or are willing to lend a hand, please let us know. We will add you to the list. It is our hope to do much of the work with volunteer labour. If you are not licensed in Alberta, we can potentially place you under someone who is. We are trusting the Lord for 2500 people who are willing to buy two square feet* of our new office. Of course “one square foot” is acceptable—more or less will be much appreciated. May you give “as unto the Lord.”

Currently 381 square feet of 5000 square feet has been purchased by individuals partnering in ministry.

*The cost per square foot was provided to us by professionals. Cost will vary depending on whether land is donated or bought, phasing of building due to staff growth, amount of volunteer time, material costs and world economic conditions.

**Spending of funds is confined to GoodSeed approved programs and projects. Each restricted contribution designated toward an approved program or project will be used as designated with the understanding that when the need for such a program or project has been met, or cannot be completed for any reason as determined by GoodSeed, the remaining restricted contributions designated for such program or project will be used where needed most.
