GoodSeed at Missions Fest 2013

It was an amazing time at Missions Fest. We met quite a number of people who were familiar with our tools and said they were using them to reach out to friends and neighbours. There were also people who were looking for ways to explain the gospel to their loved ones and they were happy to discover we had tools that could help them.

One family was so excited to discover What are Christmas and Easter All About? that they bought a case of 100 books to give out to everyone they know.

Worldview Rethink Course Demonstration

Any regular believer can guide a friend accurately and clearly through the gospel. There is no need to be theologically trained, a good orator or even an experienced Bible study leader.

This three-day seminar is designed to train participants how to conduct worldview evangelism with anyone they may know. The approach to learning is “as you are taught, so you will teach,” meaning the participants will experience an entire overview of the Bible’s message while learning how to teach it themselves.

Easter Presentation

Easter is one of the most appropriate times for sharing the gospel. While TV commercials feature Easter bunnies and children hunting for chocolate eggs, frequently friends, co-workers and acquaintances wonder what Easter is really all about. This gives you the natural opportunity to share the true meaning of Easter.

Consider these ideas:

I don't know what to say!

Paul said to Jill, the waitress for his table, “Thank you so much for taking care of me today. I’ve really enjoyed chatting with you and I’d like to thank you by giving you a book. It’s about the Bible and it explains it from A to Z in an objective, non-arm-twisting manner. It really helped me understand what the Bible is all about and I’d like you to have this copy.”

Jill took the book and broke into a wide smile, “Oh, what a surprise. Thank you! I’ll read this book!”

bible puzzle

“I am an ambassador-homemaker. I have young children. I cook, clean, help with homework and bring the kids to school. Wherever I go, I am on the lookout for how I can share the gospel with others. I plan for my day as a homemaker by setting aside time and budget to manage my household well. I plan for my day as an ambassador by setting aside time and budget to make sure I am ready at all times to share the gospel whether by giving away a gospel resource or sitting down and guiding someone through the Bible.”

You may be a homemaker, young mum, executive in a large firm, mechanic or a student. But you are also an Ambassador for Christ. It’s one thing to just acknowledge we have this job. It’s quite another to be deliberately and intentionally getting ready to do this job well. But how do we become good ambassadors? Here are five steps.

You are an ambassador for Christ

For many of us, there is little that is more frightening than to hear Jesus say in Mark 16:15, “As you go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to everyone.”

The thought of sharing the gospel can be truly petrifying. “How do I do it? What do I say? What if they outright reject me? What if they ask something and I don’t know how to respond? Do we even have a right to do this? Is it really MY role? There are those who can do this so much better than me… I should just let them do it.”

Here’s short but heartwarming story we received from Sheffield.

My husband and I lead the International Ministry at our church here in Sheffield. We reach those from other countries who have come to Sheffield to either study or live.

We are planning on using The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus with our group as part of our teaching plan. At the moment we have eight Internationals with us plus twelve people in our team.

All around the world, we see believers sharing the Good News with their friends and neighbours. They seek resources in their local heart language so that they can explain the gospel better, in way their friends can understand.

Here are two letters we received from two believers.
