It's been called "the greatest story ever told." Now the central message of the Bible is brought to life in this eleven-hour online video series. This self-paced course has been adapted from the popular award winning DVD series - The Stranger on the Road to Emmaus.
Now GoodSeed is offering the online VideoBook as a free teaching tool to be posted on your own church or personal website. It may not work well with some blogging pages. Have a look at the steps below to see how it works.
Take a quick look at the Sample VideoBook Page to see the content that you will be adding to your website.
The first step to adding the VideoBook to your website is to create a page that can be a home to the content. For most sites, this means that you will want to create a new page on your site (likely a subpage) and then copy and paste the VideoBook Page Code to the new page on your site. If you want to add the VideoBook to a blog, this can work as well by simply creating a new entry and pasting the code directly into the entry form.
The second step is to make sure your visitors can find the new VideoBook page by creating a link(s) to it. You can select pre-designed graphics from our VideoBook Ad Gallery or add a text link to a top or side navigation bar.
How much does this cost?
It is free! The cost associated with using this content is covered by GoodSeed. If you wish to make a small monthly donation to assist with the expenses associated with hosting the video and the bandwidth, it will be greatly appreciated (click here). That being said, we want you to feel free to use it at no charge. We send no invoices; keep track of no debts.
Will this effect my bandwidth and/or cost us more to run our website?
The answer is both yes and no. Anytime you add content to your site and have web visitors view that page, your bandwidth will be affected. The more visitor traffic the page gets the more bandwidth it uses. So, yes, you may see a small spike in bandwidth usage. However, in most cases the bandwidth changes will be so minimal that it will not affect the costs to run your site.
Is this a link that takes viewers off our site and on to the GoodSeed site?
No. A viewer coming to "The Stranger" VideoBook page on your site will watch it entirely on your site. They never leave your page while viewing the video.
